Here's one of my favorites. It's called "A Litany For Survival" by Audre Lorde. You can find it at http://www.interactivetheatre.org/resc/litany.html

I am a female of the new times,
Which means I really haven't any clue.
Men may carry over some belongings,
But women will be altogether new.
Each of us will have to be a sculptor
Carving madly every stage of life.
Our models must be pure imagination
Dancing in the winds of daily strife.

I'm sure there will be much I will regret:
Freedom offers vast fields for mistakes.
But I will spend my time among the mountains
Bathing in the shock of icy lakes.

I know that I don't know what I will be,
And find that total ignorance inviting.
May many of my sisters come with me!
The journey will be painful and exciting

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies
I'm not cute or built to suit a model's fashion size
But when I start to tell them
They think I'm telling lies.
I say
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips
The stride of my steps
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally
Phenomenal woman
That's me.

I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please
And to a man
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees
Then they swarm around me
A hive of honey bees.
I say
It's the fire in my eyes
And the flash of my teeth
The swing of my waist
And the joy in my feet.
I'm a woman
Phenomenal woman
That's me.

Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me
They try so much
But they can't touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them
They say they still can't see.
I say
It's in the arch of my back
The sun of my smile
The ride of my breasts
The grace of my style.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally
Phenomenal woman
That's me.

Now you understand
Just why my head's not bowed
I don't shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
I say
It's in the click of my heels
The bend of my hair
The palm of my hand
The need for my care.
'Cause I'm a woman
Phenomenally
Phenomenal woman
That's me.

Hear I sit broken hearted
Came to $hit
But only farted

In the days of old when knights where bold
The toilet not invented yet
Before your pants got wet
You would squat by road
And leave your big juicy load.

i have a poem and it's copy written soooooooo.
i wrote it for my godmother on mother's day 2000.

To My Inyanla-VRS

You're my bridge over troubled water~
My love for you extends as a daughters.
You taken me in from the start,
Allowing me a piece of your heart-
At first you were a test,
Now in me you bring out the very best.
Your persona does enspell me,
When constantly
it's ok you tell me.
A woman has awaken in me,
For you not leaven or forsaken me;
A safer place you've taken me~
A safer place you've taken me.
So now when you lead,
I'll folla;
Because you are my Inyanla.
My spirit is shown:
You have touched me~
I have grown.
