If Rooney fought Ronaldo , then Ronaldo would have gone to the box. And by box i mean coffin.
Altough, if Rooney and Beckham both stayed in the game England could have either won in regular time or won in penalty kicks because there is more than a 90% chance they would have scored penalty kicks for England. Even though Beckham missed that PK in Euro 2004 didn't you see the kick he made the game against Ecuador? Actually would also have to say that Spain could have beaten Portugal.

Give up. There is nothing one can do about JEALOUSY Come on... what could they be jealous about ?!
They are, about this...
Euro 2000 Portugal beat the sh_t of them, LOL
Euro2004 the same again
World Cup the same -- we could beat them even with our SUBSTITUTE team. If England had faced a full strength , the final result would be 5-0 and not penalties. Portugal beat a FAR SUPERIOR Holland... a FAR SUPERIOR Mexico !! Don't jealousy. BE HAPPY you were allowed to go home with SOME face and pride !!!
Funny, in Euro2000 they had a different manager and Portugal still beat the hell out of them !! Talking your language, guys, no matter WHAT MANAGER YOU HAVE you always lose against us !! Just accept our CONSISTENT football superiority and MOVE on. Good advice, nah ??

Kevin_godfather...Did you watch EURO 2004? Beckham's penalty shot went over the net. It wouldn't have made a difference if those two stayed for the whole game. The Portuguese were more concentrated in the game rather than vengeance for Rooney's for broken foot and the team's loss in EURO 2004.

I dont even think this is an issue. Rooney lost his head and cost his team the match (maybe) who knows what would have happened. His red card was justified. The Brits are being Brits again and blaming everyone but themselves. Blame Rooney like you all did to Beckham in 2002. Because he was STUPID!

Rooney wouldn't beat up Ronaldo....Most probably for the reasons you stated.
And for the record, Portugal wouldn't lose if Ronney was still in the game, especially if Deco and Costinha were playing

What an absolutely ridiculous thing to say,get a grip,we ARE talking about football, not the mafia! I do wish whoever made that comment could make a more intelligent one! Maybe using ones brain is too much to ask.
