It is never ok and if it is happening you need to go to the police and report it. don't believe it won't happen again. You are important and your body is a temple don't let any man destroy your temple

No its never okay for a man to hit a woman or a woman to hit a man, under any circumstance its wrong. If its happening to you or somebody you know get out and tell them the same while you can. I had a friend and her boyfriend hit on her all the time she wouldn't leave and she ended up dead and he is in jail. Don't let it get that far. Seek help its not worth it no matter what. He will probably say I am sorry and it won't happen again but the thing is it shouldn't have happened in the first place.
Self defense is the only way it is okay.

Before I begin, I in no means am against women or their rights and in the same respect, men and their rights.
I don't belive a man should hit a women when the woman simply hits the man as a joke or something. It's the gentleman thing to do no?
I do believe that a man has NO obligation to being a gentleman towards a you know what (female dog) who is screaming, kicking, or punching. In which case I would say the man has the right to treat her like any other man, and not just not hit her, as she has no right to hit him repeatedly
In summary, if the situation becomes one where the man is both uncomfortable and in pain, I think he has the right to defend himself like he would if a man attacked him. And vice versa for women.

i would imagine that if my wife just got the $h!t beat out of her by another woman,
and during her painful convelescence in the hospital asked me to go after her attacker, i would.
i don't think that would happen, but it is an example of a circumstance when i would certainly hit a woman.

Only if she is strong / has a weapon and starts the fight.
Personally, I would never hit a woman, but if it came down to a situation where I was defending my life, I'd do what I gotta go.

No. I seen my mother being hit by her boyfriend and wasn't a nice thing seeing the state of her the next day, letting on to my younger siblings that she hit her head.
On the other hand, my ex boy has come to me and told me that his girlfriend hits him. She puts cigarettes out in his arms and punches him. He wont hit her back as he witnessed his mother go through it too.

In a fun joking way yes. For any other reason, hell no! He can always leave the situation or try to restrain her, but can never, ever hit a woman.

If a woman gets physical with a man, at that point it doesn't matter if she's a woman. She's "thrown her hat in the ring". Now it's time to kick her a$$. Other than that.....NEVER.
