I hope you kept track of how many hours he/she worked. Avg. the number of hours/week from last year. That's how much vacation time he/she deserves.

If you offer full time employees 2 weeks vacation per year, that breaks down to 1 1/2 hrs vacation earned for every 40 hours worked. So just take the number of hours the employee worked over 52 weeks, divide that number by 40, and multiply by 1.5

If employee worked 1200 hours over the past 52 weeks;

1200 divided by 40 = 30
30 *1.5 = 45 hours vacation
(A full time employee would have earned 80 hours in this period)

Part time Employees normally don't "qualify" for vacation pay. If an employer want to give it to them, they can.

Just give them the time off. Or if you are pying them for it rather than time off, settle on the average of their weekly hours and just cut a check.
