Why so some do this?

why do some people that you meet online quit responding as much as they used to? Ok I have a friend that I met online and we have chatted for the past 3 or 4 weeks. Well the past week actually they have not been online. So anyways we chatted today and they did not want to say much. The same thing happened two days ago. My point is ( and my question) why act this way? Why not just say "Hey I am no longer interested in chatting with you." or " Go Away" Why continue to IM the person if you do not want to chat!?!? I did not IM them they IM'd ME! Why bother me and waste my time if you do not want to chat? It just makes no sense to me! Can anyone out there help me to understand why some people do this? It is just silly if you ask me!

Personally I do not care if you don't like me then just say so or quit Istant Messaging me. It makes no difference to me!

OK OK This is not in any way any type of a relationship! This is a frienship so to speak and nothing more. She is married and so am I. I just want to understand the point of doing this that is all!

It happens, the convo dies. There isn't as much to say as they thought.
Are they at work? if so maybe they got busy. There are lots of reasons.
Just ask, hey do you really want to continue chatting? or if you don't want to ask and this is really annoying you don't respond to them when they first IM you again.
Is the cyber attraction worth the aggravation?

If you are so upset that they're treating you this way then just stop talking to them and find other friends. Why put yourself in that situation? Just ignore them for a while too.
On the other hand did you ever think that since it's summer and everything, that some people might actually go on vacation? Also, most people's lives are far more busy in the summer (going to bbq's, walks in the park, swimming, etc.), who wants to stay indoors when the weather is so nice?
If I met someone on-line and we were just chatting for a few weeks and then I went on vacation but when I got back that person was asking me a million questions, like where were you, what were you doing, why weren't you on-line, then I wouldn't want to talk to that person anymore. Just relax and don't take everything so personally.
I know it's hard to imagine but the whole world doesn't revolve around you, just relax and you will see that people will want to talk to you more.

Maybe they have someone in there there life that when that person comes around they cant talk stop even responding to them when they do IM you thats all

Maybe he's busy doing other things like going to work, school, or etc. You must be on the internet a lot.

sometimes i IM a whole group of people that way i know someone will answer.
maybe he is doing that and then he gets too many people so he drops you or maybe he ran out of things to talk to you about

Well they r interested in u and there r trying to persevere in geting u to talk with them. So u to peresevere in not minding them

i don't know, but i do that stuff. maybe subconciously you just feel like writing to someone everyday is pointless, especially someone who you might not meet.

they can be busy, tired, hungry, not there, working, or they just forget.

maybe they just dont want to be rude and say "i dont like you. go away."
