It will depend on the mail servers, and the receivers mailbox size (or mail server configuration), it is however highly unpracticle. If you can email 1GB then the admins of the mail server will not be very happy.
If you want someone else to get the movie just zip it, password protect it , give them the password and share it using peer to peer software, that you and the receiver are using. peer to peer will be better as it will carry on downloading from where it stopped with email if it stops downloading half way it starts all over again.

While email as a technology is absoloutely capable of sending a 1 GB file attachment, it is highly unlikely that both the sender and recipient are going to have that much space available. Yahoo for instance only allows 1 GB of total space, and far less per email. If you are using privately owned email server then perhaps you could do it. Try using some kind of compression first though.

Nops not possible.. not via E-mail
you can however upload files in
www.rapidshare.com (100 MB per file)
www.megashares.com (700+ I supppose)
www.filefactory.com
there are other Websites where u can host the file... and then Just pass the LINK to your frnd or whoever so dat dey can download from the website

Yes there is actually, either get your network admin to increase the size of the file attachment you can send, or try yousendit.com

You could atach it too an email. They used to only handle up to 10meg. 1% of what you want. Maybe now they can handle it. It would take 15minutes at 1 meg/sec.
