Normal erect penis length for 17 years old is 5.8 inches. The reason that yours appears shorter is probably because of your overweightness. Fat can build up around the base of your penis and make it appear smaller. I'd recommend doing some running at your local track this summer. I lost about 35 pounds last summer and I found my penis about an inch longer at the end of the summer! Hope this helps!

You say that you're 20 to 30 pounds overweight. If your penis is only 4 inches when it's hard I'd have to think that you're more overweight than that. It is very possible for 1 to 2 inches of your penis to "hide" behind the fat mass that's right above your penis.
You can check this yourself by standing in front of a mirror then pressing in on the fat above the penis with the fingers. You will see your penis "grow," but by how much is had to say.
Remember the average man's penis is anywhere from 4 to 8 inches long. A previous poster hit it on the mark.

Lose the lard and it will seem to grow bigger.
Also fat boys produce more female hormones; so eat healthier food, don't drink soda and do get some exercise for increase in manliness.
