A few free resources – check out the sources box for links:

1) Create a blog pertaining to your field

2) Use Yahoo! Local & Yahoo! Groups – Be sure to read the TOS for each one!

3) Write articles pertaining to your field and/or expertise.

4) Advertise on Craiglist

Also, consider signing up for an affiliate program. These programs enable you to advertise on other's sites (your affiliates) and once a sale is made to you, your affiliates & the program are paid a commission.

I listed a few handy sites & articles relating to marketing, promotion & advertising. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

You could do up some flyers and stick them in mailboxes everytime you have a campaign. Would save on the cost of books. You could put a little statement that if they are interested in ordering just give you a call and you can drop off a book. That way you could get to meet them and build a relationship. Also, since it's summer time, people are always out on Saturdays piddling with lawn work, good way to meet women, planting flowers etc. You will sell more face to face than flyers.

What kind of trouble? People are flooded with things to buy. It takes time to develop customers. Where are you selling - work, near home? Just keep at it - asking questions is a good way to learn what people like. Find out if people have used Avon - what products the used, when and you might tell them about new products that have come out. Ask if you can email people when you have a special (which you will always have) You just need to keep your name in front of them. It doesn't happen overnight ususally. Good luck!

go to the area meetings and find out who the top producers are.

ask them if you can buy lunch for them (one at a time)

bring a notepad and tape recorder.

during lunch, quiz them endlessly about what they do, how they got started, what works, what to avoid, and take thorough notes. your pencil should not stop moving the whole time. be sure to smile, be friendly and complement the person frequently - we all love to have our ego stroked.

when you get home, review your notes immediately and turn them into an action plan - immediate, short term, long term.

repeat with every top performer you can find.

hint: you will probably find that the "official Avon way" is not what the top performers are doing.

there is extremely no longer something to it, i replaced into merchandising Avon products whilst i replaced into nonetheless in severe college and had no issues. All I did replaced into provide out some catalogs enable human beings %. out the failings they enjoyed, then they crammed out the order varieties, I gave them to the main nicely-known rep, and a week or so later I have been given thier products back and all and sundry replaced into happy.
