Actually, they are owned by the same company but Old Navy is cheaper so stick with that.

Gap Inc. owns Old Navy, Banana Republic, and the Gap so they are all the same company, they simply target a different market. Old Navy is obviously the cheapest of these chains, it shows in the clothing, they're not as durable or long lasting and the Gap, however they are better at keeping up with the latest fashion trends. If you're looking for of the moment outfits and clothing than Old Navy is an affordable way to do that. If you want somewhate preppy better made, better fitting clothing that may not be the latest in style fashion but is well constructed and will last more than a few months than go to the Gap.

They both have their pro's and con's. Old Navy is cheaper and more up to date with the latest fads. Gap is more mature and carries clothes that are staple pieces. Their clothes can be worn longer than those from Old navy, they tend to be classier. You will get more for your money at ON. But, be careful because ON's clothes are cut very akward. Don't buy something unless it fits you well. You don't want to take it home, wear it somewhere and feel like it doesn't fit you right and feel uncomfortable in it. Also, I think both are Gap and ON cut their clothes weird. Try something like Banana Republic. All owned by the same company, by the way !!

Gap is higher quality, therefore more expensive. So if you are looking for good prices, go to Old Navy, if you are looking for a bit better quality, and price is no option go with Gap.

Old Navy provides a decent line of clothing, but it's very plain (but that's what you get for what you pay for). GAP has a more extensive line that's more for the working class...you pay a little more, but I think it's worth it.

It does not really matter...they are both owned by the same company...Gap is more for business appeal and working...Old Navy is for the high school/college scene.

I think Gap is better because the clothes last longer. I was there yesterday and they had a BIG sale, a lot of stuff was on sale, plus an additional 25% off.

Old Navy is cheaper, has trendier clothes, and a much larger selection. That's where I go.
