Two times I've been accused of being a non-working liberal when I ask questions about how Repubicans want to reep the rewards of this great nation without paying for the social programs that make it great.

Statistics show:

-The average liberal tends to have minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree (I have 2) and make above average in the middle class range.

-The average conservative does not have any college and usually works in some sort of self-started blue collar business(worker or owner both). IE, electricians, plumbers, construction guys, mechanics, etc...

I'm as far left as you can get and actually only work with I feel like it because of the successful 90s stock market.

Why do they always 'try' to attack the person when they can't argue the issue?

Our social programs make us great because we don't just sit by watching children beg in the streets, the sick dieing on the sidewalk, and the elderly living in boxes. If you don't want social programs, I suggest moving to Mexico.

My political science teacher, who has written a book about Marxism and how he thinks it is a good idea, told me that the majority of people who graduate college vote republican and those that do not vote democrat. However, those who go onto graduate school tend to be more liberal than conservative.

WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ARE YOU F-ING KIDDING ME!!!!!

This nation is great because of the SOCIAL PROGRAMS that it offers????????

Please tell me that you are just over-medicated today, because being the day before 4th of July, you didn't just say America is great because of needle exchange or prisoner sex change programs, or Planned Parenthood

You know what is scary (and quite funny actually) is that you tried to impress us with your resume, and just the fact you typed what I just asked above tells me that while one may hold degrees, there is no substitute for good ol' American comon sense and decency, neither of which you seem to have.

America is not great because of social programs you twit. It is great because it leaves us alone in our selfish pursuits of happiness and wealth, and it is great because most of us have ideals that family and faith are important.

We are a great nation because we have 2 million Americans who have volunteered to defend this nation, protecting the rest of us.

We are a great nation because we work tiredlessly, because there is a reward to be had, a carrot if you will. We also play hard, and live life to the fullest. I don't go to work each day because I hope I can get a WIC stamp to buy milk. I go to work each day so that I can afford my own milk you twit.

And by the way, some of the worst murderers and rapists have had great intelligence and degrees and education. So you impress NONONE!!!

This conservative just debated the issue. Man, you are such a lightweight it wasn't even satisfying destroying your idiocy.

I just read the rest of your post, and I am now CONVINCED that you are an immoral degenerate. How perfect and rich is the irony that you only work when you want to because of your success in the stock market in the 1990's. Well, how capitalist of you. But actually it is even worse: If true, which I doubt it, you benefited from one the greatest speculative financial bubbles stoked in financial history, so while you may have benefitted, millions more lost their life's savings thanks to unscrupulous people like yourself.

So, put your money where your mouth is: Give some of that money back to the gov't so it can be redistributed. You won't? Then you are a disgusting hypocrite.

Pointing out logical flaws and factual errors in liberal rhetoric is not making a personal attack on a debater.

For instance: social programs did not cause the greatest of this country. Social programs are in place because of America's generosity and prosperity. NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. Contemporary social programs are blights again a capitalist economic system and against the people who are forced under the yolk of welfare.

I noticed that you just throw out your points without referencing anything. Where do you get your statistics and information? It's an old but funny joke .... 70% of statistics are pulled out of a debater's butt.

So your question is about arguing the issue? How exactly are we supposed to argue logical issues with you, when all you are giving us is rhetoric, unaccountable claims, and irresponsible snipes?

And liberals don't attack? How about your question? A little loaded isn't it? I happen to have a MBA and be a VP of sales for a very large company. Social programs did not make this country great. The hard working people of this country made it great. I love it when the hypocritical left whines about being attacked. If you had an honest bone in your body you would at least have to admit that it goes both ways.

Let me suggest a middle ground perspective, and I rely on your liberalism to consider the point: Those who nominate themselves as spokespsersons for their "side" often exhibit an intolerance for the views of others, regardless of the issues under consideration. While I agree with you on an emotional basis, I think you exhibit a similar bias when you say (ALL) "Republicans attack the debater". I have known several Rupublicans who are open minded; I can think of at least three. Make that two; I am no longer a Republican.

As to your point about settling our debts, I think that is more of a human issue: I will leap to fight a fire, but I have a hard time worrying so much about a dam which may burst and flood my valley in a dozen years. Human nature strikes again. I'm glad you are still stirring the pot; we need you. Good luk!

Typical elitist liberal. Is there something WRONG with being "blue-collar?" Your presentation would imply that not having a college education makes someone less worthy than a high-minded liberal. I thought that liberals were for the "working man?"

As for your question, isn't it YOUR party who resorts to calling Bush a "Nazi" and regularly insults Christians or other conservative groups? The Democratic Party is completely bereft of any ideas of its own and must therefore attack the messengers. For example, Democratic politicians will NEVER publicly announce that they are steadfastly in favor of abortion, higher taxes, and running away in Iraq. Why? They know they will never get elected. Republicans are not afraid to take stands on issues and are frequently fried in the liberal media for doing so. Name the last Democratic president who did ANYTHING about terrorism, social security, or immigration.......hmmm? Can't think of one? Me either. But George Bush has had the courage to stand up and tackle difficult, politically unpopular ideas in the face of constant left-wing nitpicking and hatred of him and his party.

As far as social programs making the country great: all social programs do is trap people in a life of poverty and dependence on government which is exactly where YOU want them. You crave a society of "victims" so that you can use their misfortune as a catalyst for regaining power.

Your party has no soul, no ideas, and no identity. The Republicans will go to their graves one day knowing they stood up for what was right, even when it's not easy. We don't govern by polls, we govern by what is best.

Hypocrite.

1st, personal attacks are not unique to one political persuasion or the other. As a libertarian, who thusly has both conservative and liberal leanings, it is a trait I see in both.

2nd, what is the relevance of your statistical evidence? What you are saying is that "conservatives" as an average, enter the workforce right away, and learn a trade. They create a business reponsible for generating wealth, and employ people. Essentially, the trade they pratice builds America. Liberals start life with knowledge and no experience, and enter the workplace working for someone else. They live out their lives in a roller-coaster existence, boring and predictible. They live their life depending on someone else to build the business they can draw their salary from, and are liberal because it is convienent.

3rd, everyone reading this posting knows that the above situations are bogus for both political persuasions. Warren Buffet is intelligent and educated, and quite conservative. Gates has no college degree, and is a liberal. Kansas has the lowest mean income and is conservative, whereas Beverly Hills is quite liberal. Little Rock is very poor, and quite liberal, whereas Orange County is wealthy and conservative. Education and trade has nothing to do with politics.

4th, America was great before FDR. It is not the social programs that make America great, it is the structure of our economic opportunity, the availibility of land, technological developments, optimism, and the transfer of polital power peacefully. Re-read your Tocqueville (sp?) to learn of America's greatness. It is not the social programs that stop people from starving in the streets, it is the fact that America feeds 1/3 of the world off of the Mississippi Valley alone. It is the free market that makes America great.

5th, I am glad for your success in the marketplace. But your success in the marketplace, and the resulting freedom you enjoy, came from CONSERVATIVE market principles, not liberal market principles. Liberals want windfall taxes on capital gaines, whereas conservatives want lower capital gains taxes so as to spur investment, thusly growth. If you were truly far left, you can always right a larger check to the government at tax season. But you do not, becuse liberalism wants to make others pay for policies. That is why on 50% of Americans pay income taxes.

It is invention and free market capitilism that feeds people. Private charaties have consistnatly beat government programs for delivery of services to those in need. They always have, and always will.

Sorry for my spelling errors, as spell check failed and I do not have more time to check my post. Just remember, personal attacks are both left, right, and center.

I could say the same about liberals...
For instance, you bash conservatives in your question by insinutating that we are a generally uneducated population...I highly doubt this is true...I thought the conservatives were the one's with all the money....trying to get richer by stealing from the poor and oppressed? How can we be the thief and the poor at the same time?
And our social programs didn't make this country great...it is because of the hard working people in this country that we are able to have social programs.

Republican donate to charity. Democrats want to tax people and redistribute the wealth. Warren Buffet just gave away 30 billion dollars Bill Gates 30 Billion. John Kerry, Nothing He did not even check the box to pay extra taxes to help social programs in MA.

Charity is almost always more efficient than Government plus they don't usually pay the same person 18 times like FEMA.

A degree only notes you have fulfilled requirements, it doesn't signify IQ or ability to think rationally.

a million.decrease taxes for the best 50% 2. Make all and sundry different than human beings in poverty pay federal taxes. 3. decrease the size of the federal government dramatically. ALL DEPARTMENTS of government. Too many human beings pay 0 federal tax or obtain money from the government whilst they are no longer residing in poverty. we don't desire a divided society via sophistication the place a million/2 the folk shift their wealth to the the different a million/2 via way of the government. this would not create a wholesome society.

No. I find that the liberals are usually running home to Mommy just as I am getting warmed up.

I see that you also mistake degrees on the wall with wisdom, you poor thing. You also have that insecurity that Liberals often harbor, where you feel the need to tell people how superior you are. People who are content with themselves do not need to tell others how great, successful, or smart they believe themselves to be.

Oh no, can this be perceived as an attack? What a genius.
