Love him or hate him, from the responses given here you can see Eminem always provokes an opinion.
As an mc and hip hop fan I believe Eminem is one of the most gifted lyricists ever. Although his content is not for everyone, he has the ability to shock and amuse with his top notch wordplay.
As his life has been changed by success inevitably so has his music and I prefer his earlier stuff ie. Infinite (before he was signed) and The Slim Shady LP.
He has always courted controversy and some of this I attribute to an awareness of his persona in the media and an ability to manipulate it to achieve his own ends (more record sales).
His upbringing fuelled his music and the anger he expresses means he will never shake the messed up white boy image.
There is a whole lot to be said about Eminem. On a wider socio-political scale the debate about a white artist being the most successful in an originally black art form is an interesting one. I could go all day but I won't.
Bottom line:- Marshall Mathers has made tunes that you can snap your friggin neck to!

Eminem is wicked, he knows music and what people want to hear. I would love to be able to do that! Although the man does have a screw loose. Maybe no, maybe he just has got some serious issues. Who doesn't

I think Eminem's really good, he writes brilliant lyrics and i love the way he's not afraid to speak his mind. He's also very clever.

coolest guy
caring enough to addopt some other person's kids... related to him somewhat but yah.
he loves his kid and isn't afraid to show that "weak" spot in his songs.
his lyrics are the awesomest. soo geniously done.
and is the first guy i've heard say in his song " leave me alone, when i'm not behind the mic i'm a normal person like you" not in those very words though.

I think that he's an amazingly talented artist, (and I don't even like rap music). However, the content of his lyrics makes me think that he's also a deeply troubled emotionally and full of anger.

He is rubbish! I am sure that if I rapped about my life and stuck a swear word in every other word then I would have as much money as he does. He moans too much!
