welcome to the real world where it is the woman's job to raise the kids. You might want to suggest to your husband that he not make plans until you actually can find a babysitter. Don't be surprised either, if you start finding signs that he is seeing another, unattached woman, though, since he has so little respect for you.

No...
If I made special plans to spend the evening with my wife i would make sure i had a backup baby sitter just in case,
If all else failed I would order food in cuddle up and enjoy the quite time together before the kids come sneeking down the stairs.......... your man needs to realise going out is not main part of the weekend its being spending quality time together after a working week......If he dont want your company some one else will ........not all men are total bastards ..hugs for now .

It depends on the kids age and if they are responsible enough to be left alone. If not, try and see if they could spend the night at a friends. And if that's not an option then you stay home with the kid.

a couple should take turns. if a sitter is not an option, then either 1) stay home together
2) take the kid with you (avoid movie theaters, please)
3) one of you goes out (say you just REALLY need to get out of the house) for a short time, or a night, or whatever, then the other person gets to next time, or right after they get back.
if your s/o is not up for option 3, kill him.

hmmm, very disrespectfull! maybe if you are BOTH having trouble finding a babysitter you could alternate weekends and he could watch them while you go out and vise versa!

That's pretty damn rude..If my husband went without me, I would have the locks changed before he could get back, and leave all his stuff out on the lawn...(but that's just me)

It would depend on the age of the kid. If the kid were say 15 or older, sure.
