thats rubbish if the likes of crouch walcott Carson and jenas make the england squad i'm more than sure the likes of Bellamy, giggs, ferguson, gordon, davies(n. ireland) would be well ahead of them in a united teams pecking order !

NO it would never happen. Only Giggs and Barry Ferguson would make the team. Maybe Craig Bellamy because England have no strikers. And everyone else would be English. Also Ireland wouldn't be able to participate because they are there own nation. N. Ireland would be able. I couldn't see a problem because they play the UK National Anthem not the England National anthem. Also on a separate issue what if England played Scotland in the WC would they play the same National Anthem twice.

I think a G.B team getting together for a tour would be entertaining but it would not work on a permanent basis (too many egos to massage). In Ireland Gaelic football the all-star team is a selection of the years best players, selected from all counties and in rugby there is the barbarians why not the same with soccer?

Getting back to the Original question NO NO NO
We've all got our pride and there are some things we just would NEVER do

ADDED:
Also It would have to include Nothern Ireland not Ireland.
Ireland are not part of the UK = United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland

There might be disagreements between players from different regions that way. They might rather just want their own separate team. Although, in my opinion, if they all went along well with each other, the UK football team may be stronger because there are players from more regions. But England is going to think they're the best.

Good idea but it could never work.Three different flags,3 different anthems.Which one at games?Would you also have 3 managers?Which language on the pitch?English/Welsh/Scottish?Where would the home matches be played?Wembley/Cardif/Hamden park? Now if all the Welsh and Scottish applied for English citizenship then we could work something out.We could then play a United Kingdom of England team.

because there is an English football association a Scottish football association a Welsh football association and a Northern Irish football association. No such ingredient as a British football association. definite any British crew will be a one off.
