There is no question who the greatest American President is. Franklin D. Roosevelt saved this country from the brink of extinction.
FDR's New Deal ended poverty and brought back the American Work force. He also led us through WWII and served his country to his death during his FOURTH term in office.
FDR is also famous/responsible for:
Fire Side Chats
Social Security System
Regulation of Wall Street

While there have been many great presidents my favorite is George Washington. He let this country through its most difficult period just after the Revelation. He could have easily grabbed power and never let go but he stepped down after two terms now that is greatness.
