That is *normal* for many breastfed babies. As long as when she does go, it's soft and humongous, it is *not* a sign of a problem.
My youngest only had a dirty diaper once a week, and one time it was over 2 weeks...but she was *fine*.

She waits for three days and then you have a major explosion, like a bomb, right? That is completely normal for breastfed babies.Between 2 and 3 months they start pooping less. Some go up to 10 days without pooping. It's because breast milk is so well suited for babies' stomachs that there is very little waste. If the poop isn't solid and baby isn't straining, then she's not constipated. Don't give her anything, specially not juices because at this age they should only be getting breast milk or formula. If she still has several wet diapers a day then she doesn't need water either, she gets enough liquids from your milk.

Ahh, this brings back memories. I remember going through the same thing when my daughter was a baby. Is she getting enough milk? Is she pooping enough? It seems like the first few months centered around this little baby eating and pooping. As babies develop, their bodies change. If you're really concerned, call the pediatrician. I realized when I had my second child, that I over-stressed myself with the feedings and the poopings. Try not to get too stressed out. Think about any changes you've made in your diet (and if these might be affecting her). You could try to eat some more fiber and see if that helps.

The same thing happened with my second son. I asked the pediatrician, and he said that if babies are exclusively breast fed, it is TOTALLY normal to go several days or even a week without pooping. It's because the baby is growing so fast and metabolizing everything in the breastmilk without needing to "get rid" of any waste. As long as your daughter is peeing during the day and not seeming uncomfortable, she's fine. You should talk with your ped at her next check up to put your mind at ease.

BE CAREFUL about giving her water! Infants are so small that adding water to their diet can dilute their blood. Avoid except on doctor's advice!! Also, juice is basically a concentrated sugar. VERY BAD for infants. Breast milk and formula are all she should have.
Another person noticed that 3 days with no poop then a butt explosion is NORMAL for breast-fed babies. That person was right! If you're not sure about all the above, call your pediatrician and leave a message if you can't get through.

completely regular for a completely breast fed toddler. some toddlers circulate many circumstances an afternoon, some as quickly as, some each and every few days. it is not uncommon for a completely breast fed toddler to circulate as much as ten days with no bowel circulate. He certainly would not desire a suppository, except whilst he is going that's amazingly troublesome in consistency he isn't constipated. Constipation is defined via the troublesome consistency of the stool, no longer the frequency of the bowel strikes.

Girl is ALL in you diet . baby eats what you eat there must be something that is causing the baby this problem , poor thing I bet her tummy hurts. My baby has skin problems I saw many Dr's. and no solution I change my diet and in 48 hours it the rashes started to clear the results were amazing. stay away from spicy food, milk, nuts, cabbage.... there is a whole lot of food we should NOT eat check this page:
www.babycenter.com
If you are giving her formula it might be that her stomach can't process it . Make sure to check with your DR. and watch what you eat .

I breastfed my daughter and found that certain foods constipated her terribly. Cheese, chocolate, etc. My doctor recommended diliuted apple juice as a laxative. If that doesn't work, try a small sliver of soap. It worked like a charm on my daughter.

You could try a little apple juice. I am raising a granddaughter and she was born 8 weeks early and we had the same problem with her. Her Pediatrician told us to give her 2 ounces of apple juice every day and it worked fine.
