Yes, I was in the Indy 500 and she was running the Boston marathon. I told her I would give her a ride and she said it was cheating. We soon got divorced.

Heya
Im an British guy and have been in a long relationship (8 1/2 yrs) with a Chinese guy, i met him in China, I'd say the biggest obstacle was the family - my family were a little surprised by my choice but now they know him and love him. His family however are really, really disapproving, not only because he is gay but also because I am English, apparently the culture is all wrong. His dad thinks all Brits are some sort of lager louts looking for fights or whatever. He told me his whole family (mostly his dad though) felt betrayed and let down by him, but ultimately what i think is important is that both of you are happy - Its great if the family's do accept a foreign partner, but if not, well sorry too bad. Everyone has the right to be happy. If you really like this guy/girl then my advise is to just go for it!!
Good luck x

Yes when I married I thought the wife was from this planet but I have since found out she definitely isn't !!! Mars possibly but could be Saturn.
Seriously race does not matter as much as love and respect. The only other differences come from the cultural differences from where the lady was brought-up. If she educated to a similar level to you should be fine - or as good as any relationship goes.

It is NOT easy because you have completely different backgrounds and expectations.
I'm English and I was engaged to a very lovely Dutch girl. There were many things that made her far better than any English girl I had ever met (Some good old fashioned values among other things), but equally there were things that I could never ever have accepted.
It probably CAN work, ut it will be a lot more effort that marrying someone whose background you understand

You should expect the dirty looks and comments. It is sad but the truth is that there will always be racism in this country. Yeah people will tell you to not pay attention to any of the negativity but if you experience it on a day to day basis...it is hard. Only the strong can survive. My advice to you is that...If you are ever ashamed to bring your mate around family/friends/associates or if you are worried about what people are going to say...Then do not do it. You are about to experience racism on a whole new level...You might lose some friends...some of your family might not want to have anything to do with you because of their ignorance. Only you know how much you can take. So once again..If you think you will not be able to handle any of the scenarios i discussed...then do not do it.

yes.... i'm asian and i married a mexican. weird feeling at the wedding, we did an asian wedding. it was not like anything like the real asian wedding. we made so many changes cause he was mexican. my experience, luckily all the familes were open minded about the race mix. my in-laws are great and they treat me like their daughter. my relatives like uncles and aunts the older generation.... they are skeptical about the marriage saying things like: he's gonna leave you for a mexican girl later, why would you waste yourself to another race when you could marry someone good of your own race, what is going to happen to your baby the baby will be confused with the languages... dadada etc... you know stuff like that. but i didn't let it bother me.... the only funny thing is i wanted to prove everyone wrong that it doesn't matter what race you are: but heres the funny part.... he cheated on me with a mexican girl... so....yeah sad story but don't give your hopes up. this doesn't happen to everyone and i dont think race was the issue here, i just think he's a dumba$$ oh and we have a baby boy and he is beautiful!! he has the pretty dark skin, with big hispanic eyes and black black hair. he's my little "muneco" (doll)

I think you should go out with the person you are thinking of going out with and experience it for yourself. You cannot know what it is like until you experience it for yourself.

If you are already worrying about it forget it because you will be too busy watching the people around you for their disapproving looks to even notice the person with you. What the heck does it matter anyway what people think. If you are happy together it can work.
