I'm not sure you can. This is a form of Herpes, and you should probably go to a doctor.

for starters, if they are fever blisters, which is a form of the Herpes virus, you're stuck with them for life. I've had them ever since I was a little girl. I gave them to my husband and one daughter has caught the virus as well. The other hasn't, interestingly enough. I have run the gamet of creams, one works for a while and then the body builds up a resistance to it. The best I have found is Zovirax, but it's RX and $$$. The last time I bought it, it was about $50 for a very small tube. The FDA hasn't approved Zovirax for the above the waist herpes, but I use it anyway.

Stress brings about breakouts on the face, at least it did for me. As a kid, I would get breakouts regularly, however as an adult, they seem fewer. When I run a high fever or get sunburned, which makes the fever go up I get them.

Best of luck

When I get fever blister (not often). Abreava (really works) but you have to follow instructions. You have to clean the infected area and apply it on like 5-6 times a day and the blisters are gone in about 3-5 days if longer than you must go to doctor.

You can't. Fever blisters are caused by a virus that is with you for life. It is similar to the genital herpes virus...yuck, I know. Different things trigger flare-ups in different people, such as stress or sun exposure.

I have heard that if you take the prescription genital herpes medicine, Valtrex, as soon as you feel the tingle, it can prevent them from getting so bad. So you can ask your doctor to write you a prescription for one dose, and fill it when you feel one coming on. They also make some prescription topical creams, Denavir is one. Some people say it works great, I'm allergic to it so can't give you a personal recommendation.

once you have gotten the virus you can never not have them, find a lip treatment that works for you and if you feel it coming on at the least little tingle use it. i just started using one like lipstick i haven't had a problem now for a while.
