If you type in your home address (US only) It will show you a satellite pic of the house, how much is it valued at, square footage, how much your taxes are etc. Does it worry you that all that information is so easily available??

Legal yes - public information
Ethical no - dangerous to the public

Most counties that have websites have this sort of GPS area. You can actually find a person's exact address, a picture of their house, etc... just by knowing their last name then sorting through the list.

Pretty dangerous if you ask me. Before the days of the internet, in order to obtain this sort of information you had to physically go to each town's courthouse register of deeds department and pay a few bucks... some of them even required you to show your id.

It is completely ethical. All of that information is public and anyone could find it out if they wanted to. The site just makes it much easier to do so.

Not really. Most of this info is also available at the county seat. It's always been public record, you may not have been aware of it till you saw it online.
