On the UK national average I would say yes cheap. However, it all depends on the area and quality of property.
My son pays £520 per month for a two bed house in Cambridgeshire and that is cheap for this area!!!

My answer pretty much is in agreement with the rest of these answers.
I private rented in Dunfermline for 375.00.p/m
Rented from council 200.00p/m.
Got a mortgage for around 380.00.p/m.
It all depends the area.

Well my daughter pays £480 a month for something similar in the midlands so yes I would say that is a good price, esp. if the area is nice.

Sounds a fair price. You can't really compare council and private rents. Works out £12.36 per day (!)
