Go to work for yourself. During the summer, get mommy and daddy to buy you a lawn mower. One riding mower and one push mower, a weed eater, and a couple gas cans. Since you have a computer, draw up some flyers and post them in your neighborhood. Advertise that you will do thier lawn for less than they are paying now.
Small yards charge like 15 bucks. (less than 1/2 an acre)
Medium Size yards $30 bucks (1 to 2 acres)
Large yards (over 2 acres) $50 bucks.
But the key here is you have to do a professional job. You will often get tips they'll pay you 20 instead of 15 or 40 instead of 30, if you do a good job and do not have to be called in order to mow thier lawn. People like having thier stuff done without having to ask them if they want it done.
I started out with just 3 yards and it turned into 20 yards a month. I eventually had to stop doing it, because I turned 15 and was able to work a real job and get taxes withheld.

Most places won't hire a 13 year old to work at a store. I worked at one when I was 14 and the only reason I got the gig was because my mom knew the owner. Back then in my state you had to get working papers in order to work and you could only work full time during the summer and during non school hours during the school year. Things might have changed since then but that was my experience. I know that you have to be 18 just to work at the dollar store in my town.
You better get the lawn mower ready dear.

I'd say no. And your parents are probably going to say no too. And the store owners are not likely to hire a 13 year old.
If you need money, get a paper route. Working in the mall is a bad idea at your age.

Yeah, you're probably too young to work anywhere yet. I'm 14 and can't get a job even though I'm tall and built like a 20 yr old. Wait until you're 15. You could probably get a job then.

You don't work just to get discounts. And you have to be at least 16 years old in most states. Get a job for better reasons then a discount.

no you still have about 3 years to go before you can work but you can always mow lawns or something like that for extra cash!
