I personally wouldn't do it. It might work for some people but I know a lot of people who it didn't work for and they ended up wishing they'd never moved in together. I would wait until I was married but that's just me.

Yes and no, depends on the situation. In some cases, it is good because you see whether or not you could live with each other for life. In some cases it might be bad, because some people will frown upon it and some parents would prefer their children be married before they live with their boyfriend or girlfriend.
Other reasons it might not be such a great idea, is because of being a lot more sexual active then normal and that could result into a pregnancy, which both young unmarried couples may not be ready for. And although most use protection, it doesn't always work.
But alternately the choice lies with each individual, if they feel they are ready for that or if they whether wait a while.

Sure. I've lived with people I haven't married. Um, I'm not married at all. Doesn't mean you sleep with them, anyway. And I really don't think it raises pregnancy risk. It doesn't help you stay together, though.

Psychology Today had an article on couples that moved in together before marriage and found that their divorce rates were much higher than couples that waited to move in until married. Kinda goes against your first impression, but you might be interested in reading that study.

Some might not agree with the idea of moving in for religious reasons.

By society's standards it is not wrong. But what matters is what you believe in.
People are going to have disagreements no matter what after they are married---whether they have lived together or not so I do not see the point in it. You should discuss it with your boyfriend & find out his reasons for wanting to live together first. Some people just use propsals as a way of stringing someone along. Living together can be the same thing.

It is definitly OK. Me and my boyfriend live together and we dont plan on getting married soon, I still have 2 more years of college to go. But I think it is better to live with the person first because then you will get to know them even better, and you will be able to decide if getting married is the right thing to do for sure.

I don't really think there is a problem with it. It's probably better in the long run because you can get used to living with that person and find out if you even want to live with him before you get married.

Yup, I am for it and I am not a young spring chicken, I talk from life's experience. I think it better to find out what it means to be together 24/7 and how compatible you truly are. Too many divorces with financial heart break and trauma.

Sounds to me like the old saying, "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?" but you know him better than I do, and you have your own conscience, morals and beliefs. What are they telling you? And do you think he intends to propose? It's your call--Good Luck!
