Here's some tips:
1# Make friends with everyone. The more friends you have, the more popular you are. The word popular means to be liked alot and that's what popularity is.
2# Be nice, you will look aproachable and people will like you.
3# Wear nice clothes. It's no secret that fashion gets a girl far in today's world. It doesn't have to be expensive but Abercrombie and Fitch is a good place to get clothes. If you can't afford it, try the clearence. They still have good clothes there. Also try Hollister, American Eagle Outfitters, sometimes PacSun & sometimes Aeropostale.
4# Don't ever be fake. If you are fake, NO ONE will like you. It's best to be yourself. You've probably heard that a million times but it's true. Being yourself is important if you want to be popular. Don't agree on something just because all the popular kids do. Say what YOU want and people will respect you for that. Just don't jump on tables and be a rebel or anything like that. Just be Outgoing, don't be shy.
5# Hygiene is another big thing. It also helps you be approachable. No one will want to be near someone who smells like bad B.O. So wear deodorant, shower daily, brush your teeth and use mouth wash, use Q-Tips, and wash your hair either everyday or every other day. (you probably already do, this is just a reminder.)
6# Be confident. Popularity starts from within. If you know you’re cute, funny, and fun to be around, you’ll be able to share those qualities with others. Confident- not snobby. There's a difference.
7# Don’t believe the hype. You don’t have to be a biatch to be popular. You can be friends with whomever you want. That’s what being popular is. Stay true to the things that are most important to you, and the rest will come with ease.
8# Wear make-up if you like. Just don't put globs of it on. The point of make up is to make people believe you don't have any on. You want them to believe your naturally beautiful.
If you have any questions, e-mail me. Hope this helps. Good Luck!! â¥

Well I don't suggest trying to be popular. Most, but not all, popular people are either sluts or trashy. All you have to do is be a slutt, dress slutty, make fun of others, be snobby. But I dont' suggest that. Like the person above my answer said, "Popularity is a social disease." Popularity is like an STD, you don't want it. Just be yourself, if you have friends now, then you won't need to be popular.

Be interesting. Read, have opinions, be outgoing, enjoy life. I myself was shy in high school until I broke out (I read several books on getting over shyness) and found that everything changed after that -and all for the better. Always tell the truth and don't show two faces to the world (like George Bush does). Think of jokes and have a personality. Read books.

Define popular? Like Breakfast Club's Claire Standish popular? Not worth it. Go for the other side. Make lots of friends. The more people that know you and like you, (and that you like) the more fun you have.

First of all, be good in your classes. Be prepared, know the answers, give your opinions when asked. Be clean and dress appropriately. Play a sport or join some clubs. Don't be a recluse. Get involved. Offer to help other students that may be struggling with a subject if you are good in it. And above all, don't GOSSIP! Be nice to everyone.

There's no step-by-step on being popular. Just be yourself and see what happens. If you change your personality just to be popular, people won't like you for who you really are.

Don't worry about it. Popularity is overrated, and 4 years from HS, nobody cares.
I wish there enough words to express to teenagers how insignificant HS really is in the big scheme of things.

if you ask questions about to be popular, you will never be popular. you're far too lame to enter a cool arena. suck it up, be a nerd, and get through school. maybe you'll blossom later.
