Mmmmm! Spa day! I either do this alone, with a good friend or my daughter. I take a whole day to pamper myself with a luxury bath, facials, mani's and pedi's. The works. Of course that's expensive so I do it myself at home. It's actually better that way! Some other ideas that I do....spend a few hours induldging in a favorite craft or hobby, write in a journal, ask someone you love for a big hug! One of the nicest things my hubby ever did for me when I was feeling down....he dimmed the lights, made the tv volume low, told me to get in some comfy jammies and then just held my while I laid on his lap. He ran his fingers through my hair and just left me decompress. After I was feeling better we made a snack to share and talked about some of our favorite memories.

We all experience a bit of a down from time to time. I have found that an almost "instant" cure is: Draw yourself a nice hot bubble bath, grab a good book, pour your favourite drink and grab a plate of your favourite snacks, climb into that bath and relax! It peps up more than your body, but also your soul like few other things can ever do! Ooh!!! and don't forget some good music!

i listen to music :)...mostly oasis (you should try all around the world, supersonic, roll with it, don't look back in anger, a bell will ring, lyla, stop crying your heart out, whatever, and especially you've got the heart of the star!! - my fav 'get happy song' at the moment) and some other songs like
beatles 'across the universe'
dire straits 'why worry'
john lennon's 'imagine'
green day 'minority' 'nice guys finish last'
bright eyes 'bowl of oranges'
bon jovi 'it's my life' 'everyday' 'someday i'll be saturday night'
...and that's all i can think of at the moment; anyway i strongly recommend these songs for when u're feeling blue :)

I look forward to going to church (if I can pick myself back up) I was out of work three long years and you talk about no joy? Yeah, it took allot to keep me here. I'm very grateful for the God and the church as they both sustained me. Not getting religious on anyone, just my thought. Happy 4th

I listen to silence...no matter what season....or take a drive , no radio on...to hear the gravel underneath the tires....one cannot lie to oneself when in silence..all of the truths and very often immediate solutions ...we live in a bruised society and often it takes a reprieve to recoup my sense of reality..that and this: Reading to children...as I had a reading programme for 3 years for children with no books..had book drives and it was a hit. now i have cancer..and i cannot do it now..though I will again.
I am undaunted...iot is the second time for me..and it is spreading..but so is my appreciation of life....cancer not withstanding. I cannot possibly lose......and still I smile. Thank You.

Get a bowl of ice cream and watch a good old movie, like The Bishops Wife, with Cary Grant.

go to an AA meeting and get reminded that i'm not so bad off as others are, and that i have a lot to be thankful for and try to get my butt to the beach where all my problems are temporarily washed away at the shore.

i tend to cry it all out...that helps me get better after an hour, following it by lots of junk food (choclate down and under cake), go for a drive and end up at a shoe place,
buy shoes that i don't need,
end up at a drive thru' (stock up on junk food),
drive to the beach,
walk in the water and the sand,
drive back home,
end up at an ice cream place on the way back
drive back home,
take a long shower than
surf the net (myspace ****, email, yahoo)
call my friends coz i need to go out,
go out dancing, as much as possible,
back home real late and hit it to bed..
next morning, its all better.....
