i want to know how i can change my personality so i can be more sophisticated.... what is it that makes certain movie stars seem so complex?

If you seriously want to become more sohisticated then I would suggest the following:
read the classics
make friends with people more sophisticated than you... we do tend to become more like those around us..
you can appear much more sophisticated simply by listening far more than you speak.
spend less time on the internet and watching tv...
spend more time meeting with sophisticated people and listening to them and watching them and how they interact with the world
study formally at university
create a schedule and live by it
increase the integrity in your life

they have writers,, dressers ,,and coaches for speech,, and manners ,,in the 1960's the motown artists were coached on manners and stage presence by a woman ,,,nowadays to achieve this go to a ballroom dance class for grace,, and an ettiqutte teacher ,,such as one at a business school ,,then find a real tailor italian and ask about mens clothing as it is worn through out the year,, and after polishing the body with a martial arts class,, and working the dance for grace ,,and learning the forks and the wines,, then the clothing is apropriate for the time and place,, then polish the mind with current crosswords and the classic books like from a list of the finest books you should read in a life time ,,such as platos republic and classic novels and plays and go to art museums and read history so you can quote shakesphere take a language course for travel like italian or french or spanish,, and so if your in a resturant you know the dishes in french or just study the menus ahead and ask the maitre 'd to translate so if there with a date you look fantastic

They are mysterious, and sexy. Usually they wear glasses or possess some extreme intelligence. You dont need to change to be more sophisticated. Just buy some new clothes, nice suits, or dress pants, shirts, and rock it! I would say buy some thick frame black glasses too!
