It depends on what base you are making the calculation in assuming you intended on the numbers to be added.
In base 10, which is what we use in every day life, it would be 2.
1 + 1 = 2
In base two (or binary), which is what computers use, it would be as follows: 01 + 01 = 10
In all other bases greater than 2, the addition of one and one will always be equal to 2.
