I recommend you repeating the question you were trying to ask. Use correct punctuation and grammar.

And by an asteroid do you mean the ones in orbit in between Mars and Jupiter? Because if a rock flies at our Earth, it cannot be an asteroid. For the rock fragments that travel aimlessly in space, we call them meteoroids. And once a meteoroid passes through our atmosphere, it is known as a meteor for the bright light it makes. And if it survives our atmosphere and strikes the ground, it is known as a meteorite. Asteroids travel in certain orbits and if there is one that travels in an orbit that crosses Earth's orbit, it should be carefully and closely watched by astronomers just to make sure that it doesn't strike our Earth anytime.

And by the way, asteroids and meteoroids are usually dark or grey in color. So, unless viewed with special equipments, they are simply invisible to human eyes or even telescope since they are camouflaged by the dark space behind them and they are so small in comparison to other heavenly objects.

Alakazam - I think it is quite reasonable to call large chunks of space rock, asteroids, whether they are in the Asteroid belt or not.

The asteroids that pass close to Earth, orbit the sun just like the rest of us. It is true there is no definitive size when an asteroid might be called a meteoroid, but some of the close Earth rocky bodies are several kilometers across, which could hardly be termed a meteoroid.

It is now believed that all the small satellites of Jupiter and Saturn are captured asteroids.

The question is: when is an asteroid not an asteroid? Then there are Kuiper belt objects, of which there are believed to be millions orbiting beyond Neptune. Many astronomers now think that Pluto is one of these objects, and should not be called a planet.

Then what is a planet? The large gas giants, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, are totally different to the inner planets, including Earth, which resemble asteroids more than they resemble the the gas giants.

So, the terms are rather loose. Even comets eventually become a bunch of asteroids and meteoroids once the sun has driven off all their dust and gases after many orbits.

But answer to the question. No, you would not see the close asteroid for the reasons given above. perhaps if you had access to a 20 inch telescope you might have caught it.

They the two leave out, use up and in the event that they do enter our earth they're already too sufficiently small (no longer actually, a number of them are nonetheless extensive) to do catastrophic injury. maximum the time time those that get in earth land interior the sea.
