YES!
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia almost 10 years ago. I suffered for a long time with it - very painful and debilitating. Because it was so bad I didn't exercise due to the pain. However, that was the WORST thing I could have done. I ended up gaining a TON of weight (at my highest I was 315!) and I was miserable.

Once I made up my mind to push through the pain and start exercising again, I began to see a drop in my pain and other symptoms. I am now 215 and have almost no pain or exhaustaion to deal with. I do 90 minutes of intense cardio every morning and I eat very healthy.

There are herbal supplements that you can also take to help your symptoms. Talk to your doctor or a nutrionist about your options. And try to start exercising through the pain - it will REALLY suck at first, but you can do it! Good Luck!

Fibromyalgia (FM or FMS) is a debilitating chronic syndrome (constellation of signs and symptoms) characterized by diffuse pain, fatigue, and a wide range of other symptoms. It is not contagious, and recent studies suggest that people with fibromyalgia may be genetically predisposed. It affects more females than males, with a ratio of 9:1 by ACR (American College of Rheumatology) criteria. Fibromyalgia is seen in 3% to 6% of the general population, and is most commonly diagnosed in individuals between the ages of 20 and 50. The nature of fibromyalgia is not well understood, and there is no cure.
