I am 1/4 vietnamiese, and 3/4 caucasion. however i look like i'm spanish. I have straight dark brown hair, brown eyes, and i am TAN. when my best friend saw me she thought i was mexican, and she acted like i couldn't speak, or understand english. she talked REALLLLLY slowly, and she made hand gestures. that's basically how alot of people ask. now when they do ask i'm VERY sarcastic. Soooooo what should i do, when people do that, or ask if i am mexican?

i'm puertorrican and since there are alot of mexicans were i live i get ask alot if i am.i know mexicans aren't the most favored race at the moment,so when they ask me if i am mexican i take it as a racial question,why couldn't they ask me my nationality why must they just ask me right away if i mexican,and if i lie and say i am mexican i get weird looks.i just recommend u just tell them no and keep walking.and if ur ever in a argumental mood,tell them no i'm not mexican but what does it matter if i was?either way dont let it get to u.but if u feel really insecure then just dye ur hair blond or red.and get blue contacts

Vietnamese are from the south asia so they are usually tan like,my viet friend he was tanner than me :)..And you probably got the brown eyes from your mom or dad,and ur hair is most likely from ur mom or dad.Some people thought i was korean cause i looked korean(pizza guy asked me if i was korean)

If they ask tell them calmly that you aren't Mexican. People will understand and figure it out. Just accept yourself for who you are.

just tell them that you understand english and that you're not.. people think i speak spanish all the time and they start talking spanish and i either act like i understand them or i just tell them i don't speak spanish
