i'm 22, and i had been with my ex since i was 16, and we got married at 20 and now are divorced.

i've been rebuilding my friendships with people and i started liking this guy who is a 21 and it's weird because you know how different the maturity levels are from someone who hasn't been in a long term relationship, let alone marriage, compaired to someone who has. well we were hanging out and he asked me if i wanted to meet his parents... yikes... this is scary, how do i do this, how do i get through telling them what the last 6 years of my life has been, the other thing is that i moved accross the country when i was 18 to be with my ex husband. and now i love this city but when people ask me "what brought me to madison?" it's hard to answer without a million follow up questions about my ex, marriage, divorce, and the in between.

will i be judged for my last relationship if i start dating someone younger who doesn't have the relationship maturity that i do?

first of all ...take it slow...be friends..dont jump into another serious relationship....as for the questions...well..one cant escape that....but dont hide your past..there is nothing wrong with being in a past relationship for many years....and when they ask what happened ...dont give details..be evasive...things just didnt work out...end of story...and if they persist...politely state...i appreciate your concern ..but i would really prefer not discussing the details....or simply avoid the questions with asking other ones....but never hide your past...especially one your not ashamed of .

the time-body isn't what concerns, its the way you sense. I truly have considered destroy united statesthe position both human beings were devasted and lost without one yet another and wouldnt imagine of courting for a 12 months after! and that i have considered 2 human beings chop up and already be over one yet another and bounce proper right into a clean courting, conveniently. So its all as a lot as you and your thoughts. also- solutions like the only 'serene e' gave make me opt to SCREAM! So, b/c there would nicely be youthful ones, human beings could stay in misery and melancholy for the youngsters sake!?!?! you dont imagine they see/experience that?!?! Divorce is the superb answer now and again!

No- probably not. I did this too. My problem is not with being judged but my new guy doesn't have the relationship maturity that I have and that bugs me to death sometimes. ( Even thinking about leaving him over it.) I find it's better to date people in my similar situation, or at least ones who have lived with a woman before.

be truthful and let him knwo the truth, but dont rush things. dont try to get married again and start this whole newthing, i think you should be honest with your friend and keep it at that, friends and maybe one day it will go further but for now be friends, you already have one divorce on your back do you want another one.? get to know this guy for two years before thinking of a future with this guy, it isnt worth the pain if you rush things, good luck.

go for it, date this guy, don't compare him to your ex, it's not fair to him, i mean the new guy didn't do anything, go meet his parents and go slow, don't rush things, just have fun and see where it goes, you never know this guy could be good for you. have fun
