Some people say that dreams have to do with your eating habits. So if you're eating mac and cheese every day, stop. Also if you're afraid of snakes, then you have to face your fear once and for all.

There are a few things that can effect a persons dreaming mind. One thing in particular (speaking from experience) is certain medications. They can be a source of vivid nightmares. Also I believe that ones health or stress level can contribute along with activity level and lifestyle. I would question your environment first. Read up on these things and see what changes can be made. If all else fails and are not able to come to terms with them, contrary to some meds that can cause the problem, there are some that can help reduce the dream cycle. Again, talk to a doc, do some research.
I also find that drinking a quart of malt liquor before bed keeps the dreams away. :)

You must be going through a phase of turmoil. When something bad happens or when you are stressed, your mind plays tricks on you. Usually it brings out what you fear most. If you have a fear of snakes then that is what you are going to see because you equate bad to snakes. Even dreams are a product of your mind. The girl must be someone you had a fight with or someone you hate and they can come out of nowhere.
Everyone has such dreams now and then or for a period of time especially when they are going through bad times.
Learn to relax. Work out. Listen to some good music and create a relaxing enviroment in your bedroom. It also helps to "listen" to your thoughts during the day. That could be a clue.
Good Luck and hope this helps.

One school of thought is that everything in the dream represents you; and the interpretation involves describing the dream from the point of view of each thing.
For example, you might wind up saying something like "I'm the snakes, and I'm fighting with myself." Maybe it'll reflect on some internal struggle you're having.
Or "I'm a girl in the dark..." and describe what she's doing or what she wants.

A snake, being the ages old symbol of evil or satan, makes it a bad omen to have one show up in a dream. To see a lone snake and feel threatened by it shows that you have a bad enemy that is even then working against you, it also a warning against bodily harm from an enemy. To dream of many snakes in a pit is the foreboding of much bad luck in love or business. Should you overcome and kill a threatening snake in your dream shows that you will overcome your adversary and win out.
