I thought the marriage vows were until death do us part. If it is as simple as you don't love him or her at the moment then you have to figure away to fall in love all over again. We live in a throw away society and a spouse is not exempt, sad but true. I have been married for many, many years and in that time I have been in love with my husband and out of love with him. Everytime we hit the bumpy part of marriage like the first, seventh and fourteenth year we had to work hard on our relationship. During our 7th year my husband moved out of the bedroom (because I told him to), and we were just friends for awhile and he would come home from work and ask me out on a date, to others this may sound silly but we had to work on rebuilding what time and children had eroded away. It works if you want it to. You see, even though I was not in love with him at the time I could not imagine him not being in my life. I could not fathom a day without him to discuss things with or the thought of losing my best friend. We have had several waves of these feelings and I am proud to say over 3i6 years later we are more in love, have more fun, hold hands more, and enjoy each other more than ever. Our love has grown stronger and stronger because we worked at it. If you throw this spouse away you will just be exchanging them for a different set of problems with someone else. We were married young I was 18 and he was 20 & we were both smart enough to know you should only marry once & love forever no other options except if your spouse abuses you or cheats on you otherwise work on falling in love again. Good Luck

see what would make you happier to stay and try to work things out or to be single and look for someone else. then make your pick because as much as you might not want to hurt the person you are with there is no reason to compromise with your feeling because in the end if you cheat or settle then you are not only hurting the person you are with but also yourself

not the psycho babble --- love is love ----
being married is honoring, respecting and supporting each other through good times and bad (committing yourselves to one another, planning your family, sex and companionship etc)---- your emotions change according to outside influences --- you are married and you promised to be faithful and forsake all others(no holding onto ex's or seeking out others for love/sex) ----- if you base your love on having that warm fuzzy feeling all the time you will be disappointed.... having romance takes effort on both parts --- it doesn't just happen ---

That really depends...

If you think there is a way to reunite the relationship that you use to have, then stay and work on your marriage.

If you believe there is no hope, then you should move on with your life.

Life is about happiness if it makes you happy than stay and if not then make a decision that will. Life is too short to not be happy.
