I want to adopt a tortoise in Virginia, but I do't know where.

Look on the sites i listed for reptile rescues in your area and post ads in local petstores, vets offices, the local animal shelters just incase anyone surrenders one.

There are only 3 places that might give you advice on this:
1) The local newspapers might have someting on this under their pet section;
2) The local veterinarian offices might have pictures/info on people wanting to find homes for any type of pet
3) Check with the PetSmart or such animal stores as they generally have information on adoptions, etc etc.
