Hi, I'm very proud of you, and I think you could. You have a strong goal and I'm sure you will succeed if you really want to. I haven't been watching TV since I was a child- and I got used to it and I find other things more important to do that keeps me busy and entertained. If your worried about the news- then there is the Internet which has free news- and you can even see video clips if you want to watch the news. I don't know where you live buy the New York Times has a good website for updated news.

Everyone needs leisure time, and since most of us have TVs in our homes, we turn it on. I find it hard to find things to do, thats not electrical when Im at home, Im either watching TV, on the phone, or on the computer. I know some people who didnt have a TV, and it was like they were in the twilight zone, Hurricane Katrina had hit and they didnt even know what was going on in the world, watching too much TV is not good, but watching it is not bad. Everyone I know that doesnt have a TV are out of touch with whats going on in the outside world.

If you stay busy you will not miss TV. When my daughter graduated college the only time she watches is when she comes home for a visit. She is heavily into her job, her church, helping needy children and in her spare time she water ski's, snow ski's, swims with the dolphins, sky dives, bikes, boating, camping, she is the busiest person I know she travels constantly and I don't think she misses TV a bit as a mater a fact I wish I had her stamina now go out and live and create lots of memories, you'll have plenty of time in your old age to vegetate in front of the TV. Now go out and achieve your goals, Good Luck

Yes! Its not that hard, I don't watch tv often at all. Less than 5hrs a week and that is more than enough. I have too much going to sit and watch tv. Now, I do watch movies when I have the chance. But I would rather spend my free time reading. I dislike programing now days, everything is reality and its getting old.
Something new please!

.When u say TV do u also mean movies at home?
Because I haven't had TV for 7 weeks (Direct TV is a very bad company)and the biggest drawback is being uninformed.I would say just make a solid effort to watch the news or shows that are
educational

I hope spelling is one of your 'golas'. Chuck the damn thing. News and weather are online, and you can 'bypass' the commercials.

It's easy. Just turn it off and throw the remote out the window (do what I did once and aim for the neighborhood cat).
