Because they are dumb.
I am a woman and I will be the first to say woman drivers Suck.. And putting make up on while driving does not help them any nor does talking on there damn cell phones.
Sorry it just irritates the hell outta me.. I would never do eitether of those thing if some one needs to call pull your car over or have your passanger call. If you need make up that bad get it tattoed on your face so you dont have to be in a rush and puting it on when you drive.

I have been wanting to know the answer to this questions for years!!!! If they are running late than why don't they just get up earlier!

Well I used to do this all the time in an effort to get 15 more minutes of sleep. I had it down to an art. The only thing that I could not put on was eye make-up. Now that is a car accident waiting to happen. I still get my 15 extra minutes of sleep, but I know do it on the subway to work! :)

I agree with Kimberly R. That is the reason I do it from time to time. If you have kids, and a job then you know what pressed for time is, and that don't mean you can't look good. You have to compromise somehow! Anyway all these people that are talking about causing an accident are probably guilty of talking on a cell, or smoking a cig, etc while driving so leave us alone!

I don't know why other women do but I can tell you why I do.
I have to work at 8am so I get up at 6am as it is, as soon as I get up I make coffee, take a shower, get out of the shower, wake up my 5 year old son, feed him & me breakfast, then we both brush our teeth, then we both get dressed, then I do my hair while he watchs cartoons, then I feed the dog and put him outside, then we leave my house at 7:15am so I can drive him to daycare and myself to work. I found that by doing my makeup in the care thats about 10-15mins of more sleep I get then if I did it at home. I actually started doing it in the car cause I didn't have enough time even when I was getting up at 5:45am!
I have mastered the skill of doing my make-up and driving!

Because they dont know how to organize their time and therefore fail to have enough time to put it on at home..
Also so they can casue an accident form not paying attention and possibly kill an innocent human being....

so that they have all the time in the world to get dressed then all they have left is they're makeup so do it in the car I don't cuz the road is way bumpy
