Honestly it probably doesn't matter to the doctor if you shave or not, or even have an erection. Since she is a doctor I am sure she has seen hundreds of penis' and vagina's. And if someone is going to the doctor to have them looked at, then I'm guaranteeing you they probably don't look that great (think STDs, infections, etc). She has probably seen way worse than what you have going on. If it really bothers you then drive the distance. She is a doctor though, she has seen plenty of these I'm sure in her profession.

When this reverse question (girl going to male doctor) was asked in the "women's health" section, most of the girls said to request a woman doctor. Yet, I notice here most girls say you should go ahead and see a woman doctor even though you may be uncomfortable with it (if you weren't uncomfortable, you wouldn't be asking...) Why the double standard? Doesn't a male patient deserve the same respect a female? Wouldn't a male doctor be as professional seeing a female patient and vice-versa?

Go to a doctor that makes YOU comfortable. Your privacy and comfort (the more comfortable you are, the more likely you are to be honest and open with your doctor) is more important than what the doctor thinks.

I still prefer a male physician over female. I've seen two lady doctors who hurt me during a pelvic exam. If you get an erection she wont take it wrong. Tell her before hand, that you get boners at odd times for no reason..heh heh heh

She is a professional, and she should be accepting that it is a normal body function.

She _might_ be caught off guard, but allow for that. There really shouldn't be any problem.

Don't shave yourself.

She probably sees many penis's.

when shes offered herself as normal, you neednt worry. anyway, a smart doctor will not be interested in problematic penises. if she asks you to see her again after 15 days after a 7 day treatment, you better go clean and stiff.
