Yes! films are art!
Think bout movies such as Lord of the Rings that have countless things to design and create, such as the outfits for all the actors, all the sets and props, the CG animation, the musical score and the even Acting is a type of art.
It is true that not all films have true art work involved, but take a look at those that get Awards. Those are true works of art.

Film can be an art, but don't get the idea Hollywood is the belly button of that particular art world.

Films can be elevated to artform.
Examples include, off the top of my head, Gone With the Wind, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, Malcolm X, The Godfather, Titanic, etc.
Films that are pretty much the bottom of the barrel are those that have anything to do with Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, Will Farrel, that idiot from Duece Bigalow, and most of the stuff from the Wayan Brothers.

Asian videos have effect Hollywood. i imagine Asian Martial paintings videos have not inspired us sufficient. we favor to decelerate our cameras, concentration on the action and not in any respect have you ever change into ill from watch an action scene. film is art...that´s the definition so every movie is an art but the question would be are people who make hollywood movies artists?are they worth calling them artist?every movie is art but people who made it are responsible for those doubts...so don´t judge movies but people.
