I'm due to have my period July 9th or 10th and I tested today with an Early response pregnancy test and It was negative, did I test to early? Is it possible that I could be pregnant? My periods are irregular due to the loss of a baby at 20 weeks 2 months ago but I did the ovulation predictor and we had intercourse on the right times. Whenis the right time to test with an early response test?(4 days b/f your missed period? I know i'm impatient I just want so much to be pregnant again, Thanks

I took the first response test too and I think they are full of crap, because I am late and the stupid test came back negative.....I am fertile mertile and for the test to be negative & me to be late....well.... that just doesn't make sense. I am going to make an appointment with the doctor on Wednesday an let him do a blood test.
SOOOOO with that being said ....... I suggest for you to test again in 2 days and if it is still negative and you still haven't gotten your period......Make a doctor's appointment.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Very sad when its an infant and especially since you were so far along. I lost a baby in Oct of last year, and by Nov 15th I had a positive pregnancy test. Its possible to conceive right away. All you can do is wait. I would test again in a week. Just because it was negative doesn't mean a thing. Your body may just not be puttin out that hormone yet. You need to give it a little more time. I know you are anxious, but its all you can do.

Sometimes you have to keep testing. When getting pregnant with my second child I used ovulation tests and we had sex on the right days. When my period was due the test was negative but a week later it was positive! Take care of yourself and hang in there. It can be nerve wrecking to go through the wait, ive been there. I would wait a week and take another test....and continue to do it weekly until you have a period. If it starts to make you too crazy you can have a doctor do a blood test . Whew..glad Im done having babies cos that part made me so crazy..the wait. I feel for ya dear gl!

The early-response test is mostly effective at selling more pregnancy tests than it is at giving an accurate early result. After a loss like that, it is normal for your body to react with a wonky cycle.

That said, you have just been through something terrible. Are you sure 2 months is long enough for your body and mind to heal? The normal medical response is to wait three months, but a 20 week loss is much more difficult than a 12 week (or earlier) miscarriage.

Please don't wear yourself out counting days and using ovulation predictors. You have conceived, you know you are able. Just try to let yourself love, to create an even more loving, even more trusting bond with your partner and to recover from a loss you've shared. When your body is healed and ready, a pregnancy will just happen.

With sympathy, hope and good wishes, I wish you luck.

I took a pregnancy test on Dec. 23rd, the day before I was supposed to get my period, and it was negative. I took another three on Dec. 25th and they were all positive...I'm due at the end of August.
I know how frustrating this time of the month can be and how the anticipation builds up. Unfortunately even if you have intercourse at the exact right time there is still on a 20-25% chance of getting pregnant each month. In the meantime be good to your body, and hopefully it will reciprocate. Good luck!!!

I took a home pregnancy test about 3 days after I had sex and of course it said no, however I didn't give up there... I took another at home test about 4-5 days (not the early response test) before I should have started my period and it said I was pregnant... so if you tested and it said no then I'd say no baby, but if you don't trust the at home test just go see your doctor.. After I had two diffrent reading I didn't trust them so after the second one I went to the local health clinc 2 days after the second test!!!

First, I am so sorry for you loss. Did your doctor say to wait any amount of time before trying again? I know several women who lost their babies around that time and are supposed to wait several months.

Second, yes, I think you tested too early. Did you test with FMU (first morning urnine)? If so, wait another few days and test again. You should test every 2 days.

Also, to save some money, go to the dollar store and get some HPT.

Good luck.

Its too early. This is 6-7 days before your missed period. I know you're anxious, but try and wait until the day your period is supposed to show. That way you will know with more certainty. Yes, some test *may* show before you miss your period (and then, they only advertise 4-5 days before), but there are a lot of *false* negatives. I know how disappointing it is to see that negative, so you don't want to put yourself through that if you don't have to.

You should maybe wait until its time for your period and take it a day or two after you've missed it. Some pregnacny test will give you a negative response if the HCG hormone isnt high enough. You should go to the doctor and have them give you a blood test to detect if you're pregnanct or not. GOOD LUCK

I did 2 at home pregnancy tests about a week apart and BOTH were negative when I was actually pregnant! If you think you may be pregnant ask your doc for a blood test - I was so glad I did - because my progesterone was low and had I waited for a positive test I might have lost the baby... Ask for an HCG and progesterone draw...
