They say that it's more luck that anything to be famous. I guess when you look at it that way, i mean, look at paris hilton. she has no talent, none whatsoever. Unless you annoying people is one. She was just born into a rich family. But then there's people like Tyler Perry, people who had to work to be famous and was talented enough to be. so, how many people think being famous is luck or talent??? Answer away!!!

For some it's luck, for some it's talent, and for others it's a combination of both.

I think it is a little bit of both. I think that if you are going to last a long time in the industry you need talent but I think that many people Luck into it (ie Paris Hilton). Maybe a little bit of both. I know people that are very talented that just wont be able to get there although the probaly deserve to as well as people who dont deserve it and just happen to be lucky. I think ultimatly I would say luck helps out but talent is what keeps you there.

i don't think it's luck, all famous people either come from a background with money/conections/famous relatives or they are put in stage school/dance class/singing lessons from the age of about 2. Even if you think X factor is "normal" people, it's not, all the auditionees are stage school kids that have been trying to break into the industry for years but have a bit of an inside because they are usually already with some agency or other (usually they have to pay for this though) and this is how they hear about all the auditions. I think someone would have to be unfeasibly lucky to get famous by any other root than basically being born into it. it's rubbish!!

Both. There are tons of people who are talented, but most need that first big break...look at American Idol. They're all talented (I'm talking about the final 12), but only one can win. That takes a little bit of luck.

I think its a little bit of both, i mean rich people with no talent get to be famous for being rich, and then there are those who struggled through performance arts schools and audition after audition, until they got their "lucky break" and then there are those who were noticed on the side of the street and told hey youve got the look...

Mostly luck. Talent makes it for some people but it's usually being in the right place at the right time

Good question!
For most of these fools in Hollyweird, it's luck. You're right about Paris Hilton. I'll never buy anything she's shlocking.
I think being famous is highly overrated.

I think it's both. You have to have talent in what ever you do to be good at it. But also you need a little luck to get you where you need to go.
