yes i understand that if you don't have sex you are still a virgin, but what's that thing inside you that breaks when you have sex, and how does the blood come out if it hasn't broke yet? doesn't it have to break to allow the blood to come out?

The hymen doesn't cover the whole of your vagina opening hence the mestruation can come out. And that is how you can use tampons and manage not to break the hymen.

That thing that "breaks" inside of you is not inside of you. You hymen can tear during your first time having intercourse. The hymen is nothing more than a thin layer of tissue that partially blocks the opening in the vagina. Not all females are born with a hymen and they vary in size. The bleeding that can occur during the actual act of losing your virginity comes from the hymen being torn upon the penis entering the vagina. The hymen has no effect on your menstrual cycle the opening is large enough to allow the blood to flow through. Yes you are still a virgin until you actually have sexual intercourse. Hope this clears things up for you.

I learned from a class that not every female has a hymen. There actually is no breakage. Every female is different. You could be built with it open. I learned that in some eastern countries they killed women because they thought the unmarried women defiled themselves with men when they checked to see if the women were "closed". So the ones who didn't have the hymen were killed. How sad. So theres no way of knowing who's virgin or not. But as for the period...ehh..i'm not sure how that works. As in where it comes from if a woman is has an open hymen.

If you haven't had sex you are still a virgin. If you ever used tampons you probabaly broke your hymen, but you are still a virgin because it has not been broken by a sexual act. If you never used tampons or had sex the hymen is probabaly there. How does the blood come out? Thats one of the many mystries of the human body. Its just the way God made us. Ask your doctor she or he could explain this. Or ask your mom..grandma..aunt..

The thing inside is called the hymen. It actually has holes in it which allow stuff (like menstrual blood) to pass through. In many cases, though, it's broken by activities such as riding bikes or other sports long before you have sex.

raven g, no offense please, but you really need to look up answers if you dont know, or just dont post anything at all. the hymen usually does not completely cover the vaginal opening and that is why the menstrual blood can come out. some girls do have it completely covered by the hymen and in those rare cases the hymen needs to be surgically removed. being a 'virgin' implies that you have not had vaginal sexual intercourse. using tampons has nothing to do with losing your virginity, whether or not your hymen has broken.

because it doesnt come out like pee see there are thing called ovaries and they care egg and blood which are in the same place and when you have your period the ovaries come out lower than your hymen thre not in the same place so really doesnt even touch right ther it goes right pass and your hymen wasnt even touch plus the penis is going up not out it wont hurt if something is coming out rather than going in and plus rember some girls are not born with ahymen so it wont hurt when you have a period that why you get cramps in yor vagina because the muscles are pushing out the blood so do you understand now why you are still avirgin if you have a period

It is called a hymen and it is a thin piece of semipermeable skin--meaning that it allows fluid to pass through it somewhat like a net.
