It is about I think 7 sisters, one of them named Joe. There is also a character called Larry. A movie was made after this book, movie in which Wynona rider acted as Joe. The title is something like "Doctor ****** daughters" Any idea?

Are you thinking of "Little Women" by Louisa May Alcott? Ryder played Jo in that movie. She was a writer. Lived in Deerfield, Massachusetts, with numerous sisters and her mother.

Are you sure you're not taking about the book "Little Women?" Wynona Rider Played Jo March. in the 1994 movie. Katharine Hepburn played her in an earlier movie back many years ago. (Jo's real name was Josephine) There was a character named "Laurie". And there were 4 sisters, Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy. This book is by Louisa Mae Alcott.

The only movie where Winona Ryder played a character called Jo was Little Women, which is based on a book about four sisters. I don't know about any Larry though.

According to the iNternet Movie Database, there is no movie title with the word Doctor or Daughter in Windona Rider's bio. Can you add a bit more to this description? Approximate year? Genre?

Sounds like Little Women, but there were not 7 sisters, and "Larry" was "Laurie" (although he was a He)

This is a site about Winona Rider's filmography. I bet you can find it on this site. I scanned over it and it's got a lot of info about her works she's been in.
