There are no legal age restrictions, however there a physical restrictions such as being able to reach the rear pegs. This is easy to over come by putting extentions over the pegs like I did with mine for my daughter. DO NOT under any condition strap the child to you or your bike, That would be signing a death warrent should the bike go down.

I have a 7 year old daughter and she is rather tall for her age. She has been riding since she was 5 years old and has logged about 15,000 miles on the bikes. At this point in time I still refuse to take her out on the interstate, however we do alot of riding on the back country highways. The rides are usually limited to no more than 150 miles a day becuase she likes to fall asleep on the bike. Top speed is normally about 55 mph and we stop every 30 to 40 miles for her to play and wake up.

While I am not familiar with the Laws of GA., I would suggest that it is a safety hazard for you and the child. I do not know of many children that age that will or can sit still for a ride down the interstate. Also I would imagine it would be very difficult to find DOT certified helmet to fit

The regulation varies from state to state notwithstanding it has a tendency to be age 8-12. the baby might want to be the right age to sit down down on the vehicle seat and performance the belt in good structure good. This commonly calls for a height of four'9". No, you won't be able to placed a three 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old interior the front seat. do no longer make it an option. human beings favor to be of their proper seats and belted, no exceptions. purely keep reinforcing this and do not supply in.

Georgia has no minimum passenger age limit, but like most states, they require the passenger to be able to reach the passenger foot pegs and hold on by themselves in a normal passenger's riding position. They also require a DOT approved helmet and eye protection for the passenger as well as the operator.

Jetdoc got it (again!). There's no age restriction, but the passenger has to be able to reach the footpegs, and I can't believe a five-year-old could. I used to ride my 9-year-old, but with a backrest and he could reach the footpegs.
Risking a tiny child on the back of a bike is just wrong.
