It's considered quite rude in some cultures, is well accepted in others. Small children have no compunction about it whatsoever; they are much more natural about bodily functions. It's a social thing, unless your boyfriend farts on you on purpose (remember that, Mike?)

Do you have the use of all five of your senses? Gas emissions do not have a pleasant smell! Further, where they emit from has often been the butt (pun intended) of many a serious put down and/or joke. Therefore, the majority of us do enjoy being assaulted with greetings from those regions if it is at all avoidable!

because some are more potent than others and they dont want to see the human race disappear, some people dont just pass gas and end up pushing more than they bargain for. Just think would want to be in a cramped room with lil to no ventilation with someone else's natural WMD.

me, i'm not ashamed i'll do it in front of anybody. but most people think that other people will look at them different bcuz they fart. people need to stop worryin about what other people think and get on with their life
