i have a canon ip1600

generally you would shut the computer down plug printer into usb port and restart. the windows should see new hardware and begin the install process prompting you to insert the cd and the proper time. thats the best I can do for you dude good luck

you need to insall it more than likly, take the CD it came with, and install it, if you have donew that, you might want to check the printer and faxes folder, and make sure that the new printer is set a default.

did u turn it on? lol well mabey your plugs are in wrong or when u go to print make sure it is sending it to the printer not fax

Push "Print" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ha Ha Ha...sorry, I don't know how....I would have to know more about it to help you!!! It took me a long time to get mine to work too...try reading the manual...you might not have it hooked up right, or you could try going into your computer under control pannel and try to see what your printer options says...it may be directing to a different brand of a printer....causing it to not work....???????????????

just plug it and the install thing will pop up, insert the installation CD, and walla.
