Oh yes. Even though it's PG-13, it's mainly for the whole family, for anyone who enjoys Superman. He'll be okay.

Well he probably will enjoy it but it can get violent at times! Heres some info on the movie that I looked up online!

Superman Returns (2006)
Audience: 12 and up
MPAA Rating: PG-13 for some intense action violence..
Profanity: Some crude language
Nudity/Sex Mild sexual references, out of wedlock child, paternity issue
Alcohol/Drugs: Smoking, drinking, scene in bar
Violence/Scariness: Frequent action violence, characters in peril (including child),
Diversity Issues: None
Release Date: June 28th, 2006 (wide)

Parents should know that the movie has a great deal of action-style (very little blood) violence. Characters are injured and killed and a child is in peril. Spoiler alerts: Superman is beaten and stabbed. There is some crude language (pissed, crap) and there are some double entendres and mild sexual references. Lois is not married to the father of her child. Spoiler alert: the issue of the child's paternity is raised.

Genres: Action/Adventure, Science Fiction/Fantasy and Adaptation

Running Time: 2 hrs. 34 min.

Release Date: June 28th, 2006 (wide)

MPAA Rating: PG-13 for some intense action violence.

Distributors: Warner Bros. Pictures International, Warner Bros. Pictures Distribution

MPAA: Rated PG-13 for some intense action violence.
Runtime: 154 min

I hope that helped you out a lot!

I just saw it last night. I'm a teen but I have a little 5-year-old brother so I know how little boys are.
It gets a bit violent and tense at times, but there's no "adult" material. The only thing to be worried about is if your son doesn't like lots of violence.

No, unless your 4 year old is very mature for his age. It is rated PG-13. Violence, blood, some pretty intense sequences that would probably scare him.
