If so, have you considered voting Independent for the 2008 elections? Try the Constitution Party. These guys are very conservative.

I am not anymore fed up with them than I am with the Democrats. I'll keep voting for the person that shares a strong belief in moral values, and when there don't seem to be any of those I will go with the person that i feel has our interests at heart.

I'm fed up with politics in general. It's so hard to sift through the lies and spin on both sides to get to the real issues and facts. I doubt I would ever vote for a third party though, just because that would have the net effect of reducing the chance of any sort of conservative agenda taking preeminence. If I vote for a third party instead of a Republican candidate, that's one less vote the Republican candidate gets giving his/her Democratic opposition a better chance of winning. This hurts me overall as I would much rather have a Republican win than a Democrat win. It's just like what happened in Florida with Ralph Nader and Al Gore. The people who voted for Nader would rather have had Gore as president than Bush, but by voting for Nader they actually hurt themselves in terms of which ideology won out.

I think parts of the Republican party are straying away from the ideals that they originally stood on. Regeanomics seems to be something that many Republicans, especially those in the Senate, are shying away from, despite their success and popularity. I also find it very disappointing and frustrating that some are selling out to the democrats just when we have achieved a majority. They campaign on conservative ideals then make deals with the democrats when they are elected, betraying the very people who elected them.

I am, but not because I believe the party needs to be more conservative.

I believe in the spirit of the party, which used to embrace the will of the people more effectively. Nowadays, it seems to be all about special interests.

There are no parties out there that show themselves to be any better, however. All seem to lack moral judgement. It's a pity, but until a group of like-minded individuals come together to promote the ideal of this nation (not the goals of a select few) I have no reason to switch.

Somewhat. They are great in some areas and terrible in others. They have been doing to much pandering which means moving to the left for the Republican party. Is there a party out there that will really give us smaller government?

I am a Republican and I have to say, I am not pleased with how this administration has been running things.

i may vote either democrat unless AL gore is running. I also may vote either independent or constitution party, depending on who is running and hat they say they Will do.

As long as you vote, you are not throwing away or wasting your vote.

I am increasingly fed up with the republicans. I am equally fed up with the democrats. I am seriously considering voting indie this go round-just to send a messege.

The only wasted votes are the ones not cast.

I used to call myself a republican, but they have shifted much to far to the extreme right by pandering to fundamental religious groups.

There is nothing conservative about a big government violating the constitutional rights of the people that they are supposed to represent.

was a republican in my youth .member in good standing with the young republicans and worked to elect several local politicians and voted the party ticket.LOTS of people got jobs that way or benefited from it .looked around and thought it was wrong when people already knew they were going to have certain jobs in government before anyone even had a chance to apply jobs were gone.
the democrats were no better .and i lost intrest in politics all togheter .SO would i go independent .thats what i am today i no longer attempt to support or work for politicians for fear the only choice left is corrupt also.
given the chance to get some real change going i might consider it again but so far both sides and the independents leave me cold.
common sense has left politics all togheter and people can not admit the truth .
our capitalist system is severaly flawed the same as the communist system was and when ever the word socialist comes up it is always bad.both parties have socialist programs they do not see as socialist.
like defense contractors that make profits--- i see this as over taxing the working people and giving it to goverment programs.the difference between it and food stamps is obvious to some but to me it is redistribution of money all from work being done and taxed.
people who make weapons or uniforms or munitions or micro chips or boards and radar all get paid with tax dollars .
Inturn these people are asked for some of it back in taxes so we have over paid them i9f we aask for some back.PLAIN to see but people who eran a living making military weapons and support systems pay taxes so to them they have to pay and so shopuld everyone else.when they in fact cannot pay anything they are paid by taxes and do not make anything.
there companys make profits and sell stocks so it all looks like they are earning money and in fact are a drain on the resources of america.
people tell me i am silly to suggest non profit defense contractors and no taxes collected from them so they would feel the impact of being payed only what we could afford as workers and would cut the size of government.inflation would be slowed as we pay government workers as a whole much better then private employees not conected to defense spending at all.
In your community the contractors working for the government pay the best wage use the better materials in the community raising the price for marble tile 12 inch crown moldings and hundreds of other materials going into all sorts of buildings .when the people get formica carpet and composite materials that pass for molding.
we are litteraly robbing men and women who make and build things in america that does not recieve government money.
Giving them less and less everytime we make a bomb or rifle or pack a meal ready to eat.a piece of america is wasted .
no one agress with me so i get tired of telling people that some of what we do mkes no sense to me and some is just out-right theft of people who earn a living.

I see your point. People like John McCain have really sold out. I am afraid that if I vote independent it will split the conservative vote and we will wind up with Hillary in the white house. That is how his husband won.
