I'm going from Detroit to Colorado Springs by car....its going to be soo boring any one have suggestions of stuff to do for the ride?

Pick a show that everyone in the car knows fairly well and take turns reciting every episode ever made. I know this sounds very stupid but it really helped pass the time on a very long, uneventful road rally my brother and I took. We used the Brady Bunch show.

There are various types of puzzle books - word search, X word puzzles, Sudoku, picture matching, etc.
Get a kids book on learning a new language and a picture dictionary in that language. Try to develop enough to have a short conversation.

I take my MP3 player so I can listen to my own music. I can't read in the car without feeling yuck or I would.

If you're driving listen to music, make some mixed cd's or tapes...get some new music you haven't listened to before too...if you're not driving try reading a book maybe you haven't had time to read otherwise.

Listen to your MP3 player, and sleep. That's what I would do, especially since reading in the car makes me carsick.

sleep, bring some paper, and pencil and draw or write, bring music, see how many things you can come up with starting with the letters of the alphabet a thru z on your way there. insults a thru z.

try that new math puzzle thing, draw pictures, read a book (an exciting one), begin a journal with pictures of your feelings and what you're experiencing while on your trip, listen to your music, give yourself a manicure etc.
