Most people are probably serious about their beliefs and how they think our Government should be run, and if George Bush is good or bad. I sincerely think all of us as middle class Americans have been 'had' by the wealthy and the elite and the powerful.
I bet they think we are a bunch of idiots and they are the only ones that have the judgement to run this Country. Are they right? Are there any people on this site that are wealthy, powerful and part of the elite?

Seriously, the majority of people just want tomorrow to go along the same as today. All the stuff about wars, hunger, disease, etc., is bad, but it takes a back seat to football and "Desperate Housewives".
It takes an effort of will to put aside our creature comforts and start fighting against the troubles of the world. The rich and powerful got rich and powerful by realizing this, and selling us stuff to make our cushy lives cushier.
