My family is building a new house and we're going to have a much bigger yard. I am considering putting a tennis court in the yard, but am unsure of how much it will cost and of companies in my area who can do this. Can anyone give me an estimate of the cost. Also, does anyone know of a company in the Ashe and Watuaga County areas in NC?

oops... :) I didn't mean to say front yard. I dunno why I put that. Anyways, in the yard. I was thinking more beside the house because our back yard is full of trees.

it cost me about $22,000. it's really nice with the anticrack, flexi foundation thingy. most of the cost goes into cement of course but there are different levels of paint and net-pole prices. i got removable poles and anti wet paint and paint lines-a little more pricey but worth it in the long run i think!

Is this your house or your parents? Maybe you should see what they think first if you are not going to pay for it.
I would think it costs a little more than laying down a big driveway and 20 ft high, chain link fence. Break down those costs first to give a rough idea. Figure out the cost of a net system and paint it.

You need to ask someone besides people on here. Try the local tennis court owners ask them. Prices vary area to area and insurance will too. Talk to the realtor's for price effects on your house should you sell later on.

You might devalue your property by putting the tennis court in the front of the house. If I were you, I would put it in the back of the house.

I think you should really check online instead of going to yahoo for a question that will give you answer just by asking google in one go. I'd say a couple thousand.

Sounds like you better look into insurance costs for windows broken, etc.
