Because, alot of the so called American people would be calling for the presidents head on a platter. It doesn't matter if we are doing good, the so called Americans will always complain and whine. PETA would be embedded with the troops to ensure that no camels were accidentally killed or injured, the ACLU would be there to make sure we didn't violate the rights of the murderous bastards. The so called americans would never stand for it, the press would only report how many of our troops were killed, and how many radicals were killed, and complain because we are killing more of them then they of us. The press would not report how many women and children were saved. The so called americans would complain about how much money would be going over to Darfur, they would complain that we weren't sending enough camel feed to nurish the thousands of camels that were orphaned during the conflict. Do I really need to continue? Let the worthless and corrupt UNITED NATIONS take care of Darfur.

America can't be everywhere. If it bothers you so much go over there and do something. America has not turned their heads they're still dealing with whats on their hands right now, believe it or not there is a long to do list.Just think there are women children being abducted/beaten/raped/etc every few sec. in the states. its not the police allowing it they just cant be everywhere to catch the predators.

Perhaps I'm a cynic, but I'm guessing the U.S. government doesn't want to risk the lives of their soldiers when there's no clear benefit/profit for the U.S., and when there's no clear exit strategy.
You'll hear American leaders say that Africa isn't a "strategic interest". That's a diplomat-ese way of saying they don't see a profit margin & they don't want to repeat the Vietnam Conflict in the middle of Africa.

Who are these camel riding people? They are Muslim extremists, aren't they? Isn't that what we are fighting against in Iraq?
Good Lord, people-get your heads out of your a$$es long enough to use your brain.

It is very sad,but i guess the reason is because there is no oil there. It is also sad that America cant win for losing in the court of public opinion. We try to free Iraq, and we are warmongers.something happens elswhere in the world and everyone wants to know why we arent doing anything.

Because there is no guaranteed oil supply in Darfur, my dear! Why do you think they don't also care for the people of Myanmar, Congo, Niger, etc. too?
