Ask him to do an HCG test... (its the same thing a pregnancy test over the counter tests for) and 8 days is PLENTY to know for sure!

Well I did an at home pregnancy test about a week after I had sex and it came back and said no... However I knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was pregnant so I called my doctors to make an appointment they asked if I had missed my period and I said no cuz at that point I hadn't... I had to wait two more weeks so I took another at home pregnancy test 2 days before I was suppose to get my period this time it said yes so I went to my local health clnic 3 days later and guess what I was pregnant (big shock, NOT)... So I hope that helps in some way, and most the time they will not do a blood test unless they have a good reason, not just someone walking in "oh I think I'm pregnant can you do a blood test".... for most women 8 days is not long enough to have a high enough HCG level to test for. most doctors won't even do a pregnancy test until she is 10 days late for her period. I think that you girlfriend might have been pregnant already from the pervious cycle and might not have known yet. This is with urine tests though. A pregnancy test by blood test can probably be done earlier but you usually don't get the results back the same day though.

Its possible if it was with a very sensitive test (ie: blood test, or very very sensitive urine test). After ovulation a fertilized egg takes between 6-12 days to implant and 2 more days before there is enough hCG to test for with sensitive urine tests. So yes it is possible IF it implanted on the 6th day.

Only if he administers a blood test..which he likely did. That HCG hormone wont show up on a urinary test so soon. Unless it is from before. Have you only had sex once? If you have had sex with her before--do you think you could have gotten her pregnant then?

I think there are blood tests that doctors can use that work even sooner than the typical urine test.
